Why Attend?

This important event will be a forum for thought leaders in research, health care, education, law enforcement, public health and legislation who want to improve knowledge, practice, and legislation concerning pain and addiction.

The symposium will foster a deeper understanding of the opioid problem in the context of chronic pain, as well as to promote a pragmatic discussion about integration of conventional and complementary approaches for pain and addiction. Our goal is to change stakeholder perspectives about the safety, efficacy and socio-economic value of the integrative healthcare model for chronic pain, in order to expand therapeutic options, facilitate access and improve care in Connecticut.

To maximize the impact of the discussion, we have recruited nationally recognized speakers who will address the opioid problem from multiple perspectives.
